Rick Rodriguez for City Council
Richard “ Rick” Rodriguez is running for Houston City
Council At-Large Pos 1. He has earned various
commendations and awards in his 24 years as a
decorated Houston Police Officer. Rick looks forward
to crafting a detailed plan of action in partnership with
community leaders to better serve and protect our city.
Rick is a native Houstonian born and raised in Houston’s
eastside. He is a product of public schools, graduating
from Stephen F. Austin High School. Attended San
Jacinto Jr. College where he played baseball for Coach
Wayne Graham. Later he attended the University of
Houston central campus. In 1986 he was sworn in as a
Houston Police Officer. He and his wife Cecilia have
been married for 10 years and they have two
